Building practical weekly plans and review cycles
Learn step-by-step with practice exercises built right in.
Effective MCAT preparation runs 3-6 months in two phases: content review with heavy flashcard use (the first third), then practice-dominant work (passages daily, one full-length exam per week in the final 6-8 weeks). The single best predictor of score improvement is reviewed full-length exams โ reviewed meaning every wrong AND every lucky-right answer explained in writing.
Daily spaced-repetition flashcards are non-negotiable โ retention decays without them. Pair each content block with same-day practice questions on that topic; interleave an old topic every session to fight forgetting.
Budget as much time reviewing a practice exam as taking it. Categorize every miss: content gap, misread, reasoning error, or timing. Each category has a different fix; only content gaps are fixed by more reading.
