Your study calendar
The calendar puts your lessons, unit tests and diagnostics on real days, spaced out to your next due date. Move anything; your choice is kept.
Your study calendar is at /calendar (also linked from your Dashboard’s Practice tab). It shows every lesson, unit test and diagnostic from your MCAT or SAT study cycle on a day, plus class diagnostics and assignments your teacher set, and any tasks you add yourself.
How the dates are chosen
Your cycle is the lessons your last diagnostic recommended, then its unit test, then the next diagnostic. Once the next diagnostic has a due date, the calendar spreads the lessons you still have to clear evenly over the days until then — every day, weekends included — so each day stays light.
- Lessons run up to two days before the due date (MCAT) or the day before (SAT).
- The unit test lands the day before the diagnostic.
- The diagnostic sits on the due date itself.
- Lessons you already cleared are ticked off for you.
Where the due date comes from
- Your teacher set a due date on a class diagnostic: your lessons are scheduled to it automatically, and the card at the top of the calendar says so.
- You set a target: if no teacher date applies, pick the day you want to take your next diagnostic in the card at the top and choose Schedule my lessons. Change it or clear it any time.
- A teacher’s date always takes precedence over your own target.
Moving things around
Click any day or item to open its panel. From there you can open the lesson, mark it done, move it to another date, or move it to today. If a scheduled item was moved, the panel offers Back to suggested.
A date you chose is yours. If the due date changes later, the other lessons re-space themselves, but the one you moved stays where you put it.
Your own tasks
Use Add task (or Add a task here in a day’s panel) for anything else — a chapter to read, a set of flashcards to review. Your own tasks can be renamed, ticked and removed; scheduled cycle items tick themselves when you clear the lesson.
Questions
- Nothing is scheduled. Why?
- Scheduling needs two things: a diagnostic (so there are lessons to place) and a due date, from your teacher or from your own target in the card at the top.
- I cleared a lesson but it still shows on a later day.
- It is ticked off on the day it was scheduled; the date is just where it sat. Open the calendar again and it will show as done.
- Can I see other courses here?
- Scheduled cycles exist for the MCAT and SAT. Assignments, class diagnostics and your own tasks show for every course.
