Converting Units

To convert to a smaller unit: Multiply To convert to a larger unit: Divide

Example: How many inches are in 3 feet? 3 ft×12 in/ft=36 in3 \text{ ft} \times 12 \text{ in/ft} = 36 \text{ in}

Example: How many meters are in 450 cm? 450 cm÷100=4.5 m450 \text{ cm} \div 100 = 4.5 \text{ m}
