Reviewing flashcards
How the daily flashcard review works: rate each card Again, Hard, Good or Easy, set your daily limits, and choose MCAT yield levels.
StudyMondo uses spaced repetition. Cards you know come back less often. Cards you miss come back sooner. A short review every day beats a long one once a week.
How to review
- Open Flashcards and start your review.
- Read the front. Answer in your head.
- Flip the card.
- Rate how well you knew it.
The four buttons
- Again: you forgot it. It comes back in a few minutes.
- Hard: you got it, but it was a struggle.
- Good: you got it with some thought.
- Easy: you knew it instantly.
Each button shows when you will see the card next.
Daily limits
Two limits keep each day manageable. You can change both on the flashcard review page.
- New cards per day: how many never-seen cards you start each day. Default: 100.
- Max reviews per day: the most due cards you review in a day. Default: 500.
Your teacher may set limits for your class deck.
MCAT: exam-yield levels
Every MCAT card has a yield level. It says how often the idea shows up on the exam.
- Ultra-high and high yield: always in your review.
- Medium yield: on by default. You can turn it off.
- Low yield: off by default. You can turn it on.
The switches are on the flashcard review page, under your daily limits. Your review history is kept either way.
